Proforma Announces Best Quarter Ever
Southfield, MI, January 14, 2003 -- Proforma Corporation, the leading USA
provider of enterprise-wide business process modeling and simulation software,
announces its best ever quarterly financial performance. Combined with last
quarter’s excellent results, this gives Proforma its best six-month performance
in its corporate history.
Second fiscal quarter ending December 2002 saw ProVision software sales grow 30
percent compared to the second quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Additionally, Proforma’s revenue grew by 40 percent over the first six months of
the fiscal year. The number of licenses sold increased by 43 percent when
compared to the second quarter of previous year. Commenting on the fiscal year
2002 achievements to date, Ron Pellegrino, president of Proforma said, "Proforma
is coming off our best ever quarter financially. Our results for this recent
quarter, and for that matter the whole year, exceeded our expectations given the
challenges businesses faced this year and the resulting limited spending."
Over the last six months Proforma customers such as General Motors and American
Express have increased their focus on Business Process Analysis (BPA) and
enterprise modeling and have outfitted their organizations with substantial
ProVision licenses. "We continue to invest heavily in the development of the
ProVision Modeling Suite. We released ProVision 4.1 in October, which focused on
usability features such as the Portal user interface. We are now getting ready
to release ProVision 4.2, which gives our customers extended enterprise-wide
modeling capabilities. These major releases have received positive feedback from
both committed and prospective customers.” added Mr. Pellegrino.
According to Gartner Research Note, SPA-150456, “Many enterprises are using BPA
tools with ‘quick strike’ methods to help them understand opportunities for
streamlining existing processes and creating new business flow. At a minimum,
enterprises should be examining their existing processes and flows for cost
reductions. This activity is spreading rapidly.”
